August 4, 2025 – Triscend Partners, LLC is pleased to announce it has successfully advised B.A. Hoft & Associates, Inc. on its acquisition by Integrated Openings Solutions (IOS). IOS is a national leader in commercial door openings and integrated security solutions, and this strategic move enhances the company’s growing footprint across the Southeast and strengthens its ability to deliver end-to-end opening solutions for commercial and institutional clients.
Founded in 1974, B.A. Hoft has long been recognized as the “total openings supplier,” providing a comprehensive range of products and services, from architectural hardware and custom fabrication to electronic security and ADA compliance consulting. With this acquisition, IOS adds decades of expertise and strong regional relationships to its portfolio while reinforcing its commitment to integrated, high-quality service.
“B.A. Hoft’s commitment to quality and their people-first mindset align perfectly with our values,” said Joe Lopez, CEO of Integrated Openings Solutions. “We’re excited to bring our integrated solutions to the Raleigh/Durham market and beyond, and to learn from the talented team at B.A. Hoft — whose deep expertise and strong regional relationships will help shape our shared future.”
The acquisition also brings together two teams with deep expertise in building codes and specifications, project management, and field services. Lorah Hoft Henry, Owner and President at B.A. Hoft, will remain a key part of the growth plans, ensuring continuity for longtime team members, customers and partners throughout the region.
“We’re excited to join forces with IOS,” said Lorah Hoft Henry. “Our legacy has been built on trust, hard work and great relationships. We believe in the IOS team, and we look forward to joining forces in order to help our great team grow into the future while staying true to the values that have defined our success at B.A. Hoft.”
B.A. Hoft’s operations in Raleigh, NC will continue, now backed by IOS’ national resources, broader inventory, and growing technical capabilities. Clients will benefit from expanded access to integrated security solutions, project management tools, and a deeper bench of field expertise.
Regarding Triscend’s services, Lorah Henry noted, “I was fortunate to have John’s guidance from day one when we first had the opportunity to partner and transact with IOS. I wasn’t sure what to expect, and the process seemed daunting and stressful at times. Having a dedicated advisor who could walk me through every aspect of the deal, manage the due diligence process, and advocate for my interests on all critical issues made a huge difference in the outcome. John’s steady presence and deep expertise gave me confidence every step of the way.”
Triscend Partners was the exclusive sell-side advisor to B.A. Hoft for the transaction. James Jolley and Jim Wrenn of Smith Anderson served as lead legal counsel to B.A. Hoft for the transaction.
